Change of Plan with the Plan

It's been a busy week in the world of GoSLuRP. Finally met up with Student Services and got some good input into the plan.

Then on Monday submitted the plan to JISC. That's the first deliverable out of the way.

Originally the plan was to hand out flyers for the first questionnaire at Freshers Fayre giving us plenty of time to compile the questions and produce the flyer. However, the suggestion was made for staff to hand out these out during enrolment - thus targetting every student.

Well first enrolment commences on 7th September - just 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Hence this week has been spent compiling the questionnaire, liaising with staff regarding putting the survey online, getting the flyer designed and dealing with Repro to ensure we could meet this revised deadline.

So far so good

Project Plans and Steering Groups

Been a while since the last post, not because I didn't have anything to say but because we've been so busy pulling together the project plan, the JISC project plan and the workpackages. Happy to say these are now with the GoSLuRP Steering Group for final review before submission to JISC on Monday.

JISC have already reviewed the draft with just a few minor tweaks.

Held the first project Steering Group meeting today, the first of three to be held over the duration of the project, and feedback for both the project and the documents produced so far is, I am pleased to say, a very positive one. There was a lot of encouragement and enthusiasm for what the project wants to achieve and that is definitely a good thing.

This week's tasks

Last week was a busy one including a 2 day trip to Birmingham to meet with all the other participants on this project at the JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) Relationship Management Startup Meeting. It was a tiring two days but left my head spinning with ideas from what was a well constructed informative event.

However, this is the week to pull the project plan together and attempt to bring together all of the elements that we need to deliver this project so my head will be spinning for other reasons.
